Advocacy Communication Campaign for the Release of Civilian Hostages

Background

The need for advocacy on the issue of illegally detained Ukrainian citizens who became civilian hostages in occupied territories following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.

 

Goal

To draw attention to the issue of illegal detention of Ukrainian civilian hostages, highlight this problem in Ukrainian and international media, and advocate for their release on the international stage.

Format

Active advocacy of the issue in collaboration with state institutions, as well as coverage of the problem of civilian hostages in Ukrainian and European media.

 

Outcome

Increased awareness of the civilian hostage issue among the public, politicians, and media both in Ukraine and abroad. Enhanced efforts to secure the release of these hostages and brought the attention of the international diplomatic community to the illegal detention of Ukrainian civilians in territories occupied by Russia.
