Visit of a group of media from Latin American countries to get acquainted with Ukraine and establish stable communication ties

Background: 

The need to ensure access to truthful information about Ukraine and the fight against Russian aggression, as well as to counter disinformation spread by the Russian Federation.

Goal: 

To strengthen ties between Ukraine and Latin American countries through their media, ensuring the dissemination of truthful information about events in Ukraine.

Format: 

A press tour to Ukraine for nine journalists from seven Latin American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and El Salvador), their meetings with representatives of Ukrainian authorities and civil society, as well as participation in the presentation of the MFA Communication Strategy "Ukraine - Latin American and Caribbean States" for 2024-2026.

 

Outcome: 

Strengthened informational, cultural, and business ties between Ukraine and Latin American countries.

Increased awareness of Ukraine, enhanced international support, and countering Russian propaganda.
